Site parameters and wireframes were established by the time I joined this project. (I enjoy that part of the process, but no need in this case.) My role was to give an existing site a more contemporary refresh, to better reflect the company's worldwide presence and 40 years of experience.
They wanted to achieve an impression more on par with their chief competitors – something that would appeal to recent graduates, but without too much flashiness.
Their developers created the CMS templates for internal editing. In addition to overall layout, I needed to design a handful of modular components to accommodate contacts, downloads, and links.
